Accessories You Should Have for Your GoPro 3D Hero Camera

The actual GoPro 3D Hero may be a small camera but it is one of the most versatile cameras on the market today. Many professional photographers who else use a helmet camera have this type of camera because it is lighter and two times more powerful than other similar cameras. If you are simply purchasing a GoPro 3D Hero camera there are a variety of accessories for you to choose from. One great accessory that you should have, especially if you are likely to use it to take pictures that would mean so much more with sound, would be to purchase a GoPro microphone.

When you use the GoPro Mic while filming it will not only enhance the sound quality of your camera but also when filming outdoors the wind noise will be decreased by up to thirty-five miles per hour. There are also dual windscreens that are permanent. Originally the GoPro Microphone was created for the GoPro Hero 2 camera so in order for it to be compatible for your GoPro 3D Hero you will need to purchase a good adapter. It is a great accessory to have if you plan to do any filming while skiing, sky diving, recording sounds that are far away, or even filming in conditions that are windy.

Nothing is worse or more frustrating than to be filming a special event and have the electric battery die so when purchasing your GoPro 3D Hero camera you need to include a GoPro battery BacPac, which when you lien it to your camera your battery life will be doubled. You can also purchase an extra rechargeable battery to have as a spare. You are able to recharge them using a standard USB cable via your laptop or computer but if you want to charge the battery twice as quick you should invest in a wall charger. This wall charger will also charge two rechargeable batteries for your GoPro 3D Leading man. If you are a traveling photographer the wall charger accessory has interchangeable AC plugs for not only wall sockets in the usa but also for the EU, AU, and UK wall sockets.

No matter how careful you are with your กล้อง Gopro camera the lens could become cracked so you should make sure that you have GoPro replacement lenses. The company offers a lens replacement package for under twenty dollars so you can afford to have a couple of these GoPro replacement lenses kits on hand. In the kit you will have 2 seals and lenses along with replacement screws if you need them. They even throw in a screw driver to help make the actual repairs easier on you.

If you are a big surfer fan or like to take a kayak out you should get the GoPro Browse, also known as a surfboard mount. The GoPro Surf has maximum holding strength and will hold your camera restricted as it films your experience or journey.

The GoPro 3D camera with all of the accessories available is a great camera for your professional or for someone who wants to film an unforgettable vacation.

Top 5 MUST-HAVE Accessories for the GoPro Hero 3 and 3+

Seems using my GoPro Hero cameras for over 3 years now and have used them in enough situations to come up with a listing of my top 5 must have GoPro accessories and mounts. These are in no particular order and based solely on my experience.

1 . Extra Batteries – Enough power for the entire day!

This is especially important if you have the Hero 3 or even Hero 3+ Black Edition since the battery will last just over an hour while recording, but I still strongly recommend this for the Silver and White Edition owners. Nothing is more frustrating than seeing zero bars left of electric battery just before dropping in on a ski run or mountain bike trail. Save yourself the frustration and pick up a little extra batteries so your GoPro will outlast you during the day. I recommend picking up the Wasabi battery kit. For the price of 1 GoPro battery, you get 2 batteries, a charger and a car adapter. Not to mention you get a European plug so you can cost your batteries anywhere in the world! On top of that, the Wasabi batteries have a little extra juice compared to the GoPro ones with 1200mAh versus 1180mAh. Anyone with a GoPro, regardless of what activities and sports you do, will benefit from these batteries. And considering how affordable they are, it’s a no brainer!

2 . Chesty – Wearable and provider of the best angle!

What else can I state about this mount other than it is one of my favourites! Whether you like skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, fishing, sailing, waterskiing, wakeboard, skateboarding and just about ANY other sport out there, nothing is cooler than the angle a Chesty gives you. This is a correct POV (point-of-view) angle that allows the viewer to see everything in front of you including your arms and legs. When using the Chesty, I almost always make use of the 960p or 1440p modes which will give you the tallest field of view. In other words, you will be able to see both your hands and also arms as well as your feet and legs which is especially cool while skiing. It is also a mount that is extremely simple to use. You wear it like a backpack and operating the GoPro is very easy since it’s right in front of you on your upper body. A quick tip when using the Chesty is to mount the GoPro upside down. I have found that this actually improves the stability of the digital camera. Be sure the straps are tight so the camera isn’t able to shift and move too much.

As an added bonus, the Chesty works very well on medium to large dogs!

3. Adhesive Mounts

With all GoPro Hero camera purchases, you’ll 1 flat and 1 curved adhesive mount. However , I strongly suggest picking up more as there are several locations to use them. They are also a one-time use only mount. For me personally, I have used adhesive mounts on all of my helmets, an ovum timer for time lapses, my waterski and my wakeboard. You can never have too many!

4. Suction Cup Attach – Strong and build for speed!

If you own a car, truck, motorcycle or even a plane, this is an absolute must! You are able to attach the suction cup to any window or glass surface as well as some body panels for some epic angles and pictures. My only recommendation (especially for a plane) is to use some sort of tether. This way, if the suction cup happens to fail along with lose its suction on the surface, the tether will prevent it from falling off completely. It is also a non-permanent mounting remedy so you can quickly and easily change the angle as many times as you want.

5. Class 10 Micro SD Memory Card – Prevent any kind of recording issues

Purchasing a memory card for your GoPro is not only essential to recording the footage on your GoPro but also can ensure that this footage is captured properly without any issues or failures. Since the GoPro shoots at such a high resolution and framework rate, data files are massive and because of that, you need a memory card that can handle this sort of data. GoPro has a list of suggested memory cards that have been proven to function properly with the GoPro camera ( Recommended GoPro Memory Cards ). The key parts are the Class and data transfer speed. You must purchase a Class 10 card with a data speed of 45Mbps in order to record in 4K, 2 . 7K, Protune modes, 0. 5 second time lapse mode and some picture burst modes (30 pictures per second for example).

The maximum recommended memory card capacity is 64GB. Some cards companies have started to release 128GB cards but they have not been extensively tested yet in the GoPro.
